Bhundole, Pharping:
Bhundole lies in Dakshinkali Municipality. It is situated at Talku Dudechaur, Pharping. Bhundole is an open ground. Green grasses cover the ground like a carpet. Tall grasses, green hills, and pine trees surround this place. In short, this place is full of greenary. This place is good for a short hike and camping.
You can reach to Bhundole from two ways; one is from Old Dakshinkali and the other is from Seti Devi. Hike to this place takes about 1 to 2 hours. You could also go there on two-wheelers. However, you would have to walk 5 to 10 minutes after that. Additionally, you can also go to Champadevi from there.
Bojinee Dam Site:
Bojinee Dam lies in Bhaktapur district. This place is also known as Nagarkot Damsite. It is situated near Kalamasi Village, Nagarkot. Technically, it is an artificial dam built by the locals for irrigation purposes. Green pine trees and lush woods surround the dam. Later it became a lake created by clean spring water. The lake is about 16 feet deep. This place is not so famous right now. This means less crowd and more fun.
You can hike up to the Nagarkot tower then climb down from the new road to get to this dam site. If it gets difficult to find the way, you can follow the trail to Bojinee Resort. The resort is next to the lake. You can also get here by vehicle either two-wheeler or a four-wheeler. You can get inside the dam site free of cost. This place is perfect for camping and picnics. It is a very good place for barbecuing. You can collect firewood from the nearby forest for free.
Bethanchowk:
Bethanchowk lies in the Kavrepalanchowk district. This place is located in the southern hills of Kavrepalanchowk. It is a one-day hike from Dhungkharka, you can start your hiking journey from there.
It takes about 4-5 hours of hike to reach the top of Bethanchowk. The trail can be dangerous and slippery in some parts. You have to be careful while climbing. Once you reach the top of Bethanckowk you will be able to see some parts of Janakpur and Makwanpur. At the time of January-February, snow covers the hill. It gets icy and slippery at that time.
Dalchoki Hill:
Dalchoki lies in the Lalitpur district. It is situated in the southern part of Lalitpur. Dalchoki is truly one of the hidden destinations of Nepal. A lot of people do not know about this destination. Because of that very few people have hiked to this hill.
You can start the hike from the Tika Bhairav temple. You can reach the top of Dalchoki hill within 3 to 4 hours of hike starting from Tika Bhairav. Due to the flood in 2076 B.S, the hiking route was damaged, it could be a bit dangerous while climbing uphill. Because of this reason, many people do not go on a hike there. You can also reach the top by vehicle. Both four and two-wheelers can get to the top.
Bhasmasur Dada:
Bhasmasur lies in Kirtipur Municipality. It is one of the biggest hills found in Kathmandu Valley. You can start the hike from different places. You can start the hike from Pushpalal Park, Kirtipur, from Hattiban resort, and Pharping, Dakshinkali. It is one of the hiking destinations you wouldn’t want to miss.
Somehow, most people do not use the route of Kirtipur as it is difficult and very uphill. But when you see the beautiful view of Kathmandu Valley and different mountains, you will surely forget about the difficulties and tiredness. Once you complete climbing half of the hill, the trail gets less dangerous and well built with rock stairs. It will take about 4 to 5 hours to reach the top. Finally, after reaching the top of the hill, the view of the valley that you will witness from the top of the hill is amazing and utterly beautiful. You can also see mountains like Langtang, Dorje, Gauri Sankar, Jugal, Lakpa, and others.
