ANTARCTICA – January 6, 2026 – In a breathtaking display of human resilience, Hari Budha Magar and his team have successfully reached the summit of Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica. This achievement marks the official completion of Hari’s “Conquering Dreams – 7 Summits” mission, a quest to stand atop the highest point of every continent.

Supported by DIGI2AL, Hari’s journey to the bottom of the world culminated at 22:00 on January 6th, proving once again that limitations are often only where we perceive them to be.

Innovation happens when we challenge assumptions and embrace new perspectives.

A Gruelling Ascent Against the Elements

The expedition began on Christmas Eve, as Hari departed his home in the United Kingdom for one of the most desolate and remote environments on the planet. Consequently, the team faced immediate challenges, transitioning from holiday warmth to the brutal reality of the Antarctic interior.

The final push was a grueling three-day climb. Alongside his elite team—Abiral Rai, Mingma Sherpa, and climb leader Jangbu Sherpa from Alpine Ascents—Hari battled:

  • Bone-chilling temperatures of -25°C.
  • Violent Antarctic winds and unpredictable ice fields.
  • Vertical slopes that tested the mechanical limits of his prosthetic legs.

Despite these obstacles, the team persevered, navigating the frozen wilderness to plant their flags at 4,892m.

“Nothing is Impossible”

Standing at the peak, an emotional Hari shared a message of global hope.

“If you have a dream and dedicate yourself and never give up, you can achieve anything—whatever life throws at you,” Hari commented. “We have shown that nothing is impossible and made awareness of disability, inspiring others to climb ‘their own mountains’ and conquer their dreams.”

Furthermore, Hari emphasized that his mission extends far beyond the physical summit. Since his historic ascent of Everest, he has dedicated his life to changing the global perception of disability. He believes that with the right support, adaptation, and sheer perseverance, people with disabilities can accomplish the “impossible.”

A Global Mission for Awareness

This victory was not a solo effort. Hari extended deep gratitude to his family, friends, and the partners who enabled the mission, specifically highlighting the role of DIGI2AL and the expertise of Alpine Ascents.

In addition to the physical climb, the expedition serves as a rallying cry for societal change. Hari is calling on authorities, families, and society at large to recognize the potential of individuals with disabilities. Ultimately, the goal is to create a world where everyone is empowered to pursue their goals, regardless of physical challenges.

What’s Next for Hari?

With the 7 Summits now completed, Hari continues to be a leading voice for disability advocacy. His journey from the battlefields to the highest peaks in the world serves as a blueprint for resilience.

As we celebrate this historic win, Hari’s message remains clear: “Please help me to make awareness of disability around the world; this message should go to every person with a disability, their loved ones, society, and authorities.”
