This month, we hoped to see bright and vibrant images brought to life by color, whether through a single striking tone or a technicolor daydream. The community did not disappoint. For that, we owe everyone a great many thankyous ;). Let’s get on with the list.

Sindoor Jatra is one of the most popular and loved festivals that have been celebrated in Kathmandu Valley (Bhaktapur) on the 2nd of Baishak marking the arrival of spring.
During the Jatra, people smear Sindoor (orange vermillion powder) on each other expressing respect and love and celebrate the moment by dancing to traditional music. On the day, devotees gather at the temple premises and take out a procession carrying 32 palanquins caring for idols of several gods and goddesses.

She is my grandma. The last time, I visited to meet her in my village then I snapped Unknowingly. Idk this photo would match with the theme or not but her smile was so colorful to me and whenever I saw this image I got inspiration.
PS. When your heart is delightful/colorful it will show up on your face.

This is mobile photography taken using a macro clip lens. I had to hold my breath while taking this shot due to the slower shutter speed to make enough amount of light enter into the sensor since the subject was in a dark place.

It was my first time taking photos in Holi. I had great ideas to take different photos and this is one of my best shots taken at that time.

The photo that I have uploaded was taken on 7 March 2020 in the evening. I was there with my friends for looking at the beautiful sunset. Then I suddenly saw a couple returning home by bicycle. I wanted to capture the beautiful story with the beautiful color of sunset. Sunset is still full of the colors of love. Location: Gaighat, Udayapur

The photo was taken in Bandipur. I wanted to capture one of the simple life-story and lifestyles of the people of Bandipur. So I asked her if I could take picture of her and she was more than happy to be part of my story. Those smiles and moments are too precious for me. I took a picture of her, showed it to her and she requested me if I could frame the picture and give back it to her while returning next time. So, next time when I visit Bandipur, I will be going with this photo in a frame.
Thank you once again for participating in the event. Due to unforeseen events and technical difficulties, we will not be doing an August Photo Contest, but we sure will come back for the month of September. Till then follow us on our Instagram and/or Facebook to stay updated.
